The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey, film en français - "The Rising: A Pandey" est une histoire épique sur l'amitié, l'amour, la perte et de trahison à la communauté hindoue en 1857 comme toile de fond. Les dirigeants de l'Inde coloniale exploitent le pays à l'épuisement, faisant victimisation auprès des personnes et provoquant le ressentiment partout où ils vont. Le pire de tout est qu'ils utilisent la population hindoue dans l'infanterie de l'armée britannique, et contrôlent et régissent la population. Après cent ans de domination, l'Inde est l'éveil à une perspective révolutionnaire de changement et de l'autonomie gouvernementale. Un homme sera responsable de la collecte de la population contre l'empire oppressif.
