The Night of the Iguana, film en français - Adaptation d'un drame de Tennessee Williams. Un pasteur protestant, expulsé de son église, au Mexique fonctionne comme un guide, leader expéditions formés surtout par des Américains matures. Dans l'un, il est victime d'une tentative de séduction d'une jeune femme sensuelle, qui lui vaut l'inimitié des autres femmes. Enfin, le groupe atteint une course par un vieil ami de son hôtel.
