The Falcon in Hollywood, film en français - Suave détective amateur Tom Lawrence - aka héros littéraire de Michael Arlen Le Falcon - arrive à Hollywood pour un peu de repos et de détente, pour se retrouver impliqué dans l'assassiner d'un acteur de cinéma. Il ne manque pas de suspects: la costumière à qui il a été marié, un directeur tyrannique, une belle jeune starlette française, un producteur-Shakespeare citant, même un gangster de New York. Aider Le Falcon résoudre le crime est une, sage-fissuration chauffeur de taxi mignon et une paire de flics maladroits.
