Proof, film en français - Catherine est un jeune homme qui a passé des années à prendre soin de son brillant, mais déséquilibrée père, un génie mathématique. La veille de son anniversaire, non seulement doivent résister à l'arrivée de sa s?ur Claire, avec qui il a peu de relation, mais aussi pour répondre à Hal, un ancien élève de son père qui espère trouver très important dans les 103 ordinateurs portables enseignant. Tout en prenant la forme d'une relation amicale avec Hal, Catherine fera face strictes plans Claire conçus pour elle. Mais ce qui inquiète et la peur hante est d'hériter de la folie? ou peut-être le génie? de son père.
