My Friend Flicka, film en français - Ken McLaughlin (Roddy McDowall) est un précoce de 10 ans qui vit avec sa famille dans un ranch du Wyoming distance. Lorsque Ken rentre de l'école avec des notes d'échec, son père, Rob (Preston Foster), blâme le manque de responsabilité personnelle de l'enfant. À la suggestion de son épouse, Nell (Rita Johnson), Rob permet Ken de choisir un seul poulain du troupeau pour l'élever comme son propre. Au grand dam de son père, Ken choisit un mustang feu pouliche - mais les deux bientôt devenir rapidement des amis.
