Dirigée d'une main de fer finement manucurés par Miranda Priestly, la piste est un gantelet redoutable pour quiconque veut réussir dans ce monde. Travailler comme assistant Miranda pourrait ouvrir les portes à Andy Sachs, un diplômé récent. Mais elle est une fille qui se distingue par sa négligence dans la magnifique petite armée de journalistes du magazine. Andy comprend très vite que, pour réussir dans cette entreprise va avoir besoin de plus de dynamisme et la détermination. Et le test ultime se tient devant elle, habillé de la tête aux pieds en Prada.
